Our Edenbrook South facility is seeking an amazing Dietary Aide! In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our residents receive nutritious, well-prepared meals served with care and attention. You'll assist in various kitchen and dining room tasks, maintaining high standards of food service, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction.
Position:
Dietary Aide (Part-time) Shifting schedule: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM | 4 PM - 8 PM Monday-Friday and every other weekend $14.25/hour Experience in nursing homes/hospitals or restaurants is
PREFERRED.
Essential Functions:
Food Presentation:
Serve meals in an appealing, appetizing manner while considering residents' dietary needs and preferences.
Timely Meal Delivery:
Follow schedules to ensure meals and snacks are delivered promptly to residents.
Food Preparation:
Pre-portion and prepare food as directed to match menu plans and diet orders.
Food Temperature Maintenance:
Ensure proper food temperatures during preparation and service, recording temperatures per protocol.
Accurate Meal Service:
Serve meals and snacks based on specific diet orders and individual preferences.
Portion Control:
Use proper utensils to maintain accurate and consistent serving sizes.
Dishwashing & Sanitization:
Clean dishes, utensils, and equipment using manual or automatic methods. Record water temperature and sanitizer levels, reporting any issues promptly.
Cleanliness & Organization:
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area; properly store all kitchen items.
Team Support:
Willingly assist with various tasks in the dietary department to ensure smooth operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Relevant experience preferred Understanding of safe food preparation and handling practices Basic reading and writing skills appropriate to the role Effective verbal and written communication skills in English Patience and a positive, polite demeanor Attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately If you're passionate about serving others, enjoy working in a team, and take pride in your work—we'd love to meet you!
