This position plays an important role in providing quality meal service and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment for our residents. Key Responsibilities Learn and follow facility food service procedures and routines Set up and distribute meal trays Assist with meal service for residents Clear and break down meal trays after service Wash dishes and operate commercial dishwashing equipment Check and document dish machine temperatures and sanitation levels Prepare snacks and nourishments for residents Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dietary department floors Clean work surfaces, refrigerators, and food preparation areas Store groceries and supplies in a safe and organized manner Remove trash and maintain a clean, sanitary work environment Assist cooks and dietary supervisors as needed Participate in orientation and ongoing training programs Work cooperatively with team members and other facility departments Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous food service experience is a plus, but not required Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certificate Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Dependable attendance and positive attitude Compassion for an underserved population We are an equal opportunity employer.
