Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Culinary Aide to support our dietary department in delivering nutritious and appealing meals to our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, food handling, and working with geriatric populations, ensuring safety, sanitation, and adherence to dietary requirements. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of our residents through excellent food service and teamwork. Duties Assist in preparing, portioning, and serving meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dining areas, and food storage spaces in compliance with health standards. Support food safety practices by following proper handling procedures, using personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhering to sanitation protocols. Help with meal assembly, plating, and serving while ensuring timely delivery of meals to residents. Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies, checking expiration dates, and reporting shortages or issues. Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy items or equipment to prevent injury. Support the dietary team in maintaining a safe and efficient kitchen environment. Experience Prior experience in the food industry is highly desirable. Familiarity with food production, meal preparation, and sanitation procedures. Ability to manage time effectively while multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for portioning and inventory counts are necessary. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in food handling roles will be considered an asset. Pay:
