Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production, food service, or the food industry. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to specific dietary requirements.Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals following prescribed recipes and special dietary needs
- Ensure meals are served at the correct temperatures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with dietary staff to ensure residents' nutritional needs are met
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry, preferably in a hospital, assisted living facility, or similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Understanding of dietetics and nutrition principles
