Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated dietary team as a Dietary Cook/Aide/Baker, where your culinary skills and passion for nutrition will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Duties Prepare and serve nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual resident requirements Assist with food production, including cooking, baking, and portioning meals efficiently and safely Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and food processors following safety protocols Adhere to food safety standards including sanitation, proper handling, and storage of ingredients Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning kitchen areas, and maintaining sanitation standards Follow safe lifting practices when handling heavy supplies or equipment to prevent injury Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other team members to ensure timely meal service for residents Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Demonstrated ability in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations Knowledge of dietary requirements for geriatric or special needs populations is a plus Familiarity with kitchen safety procedures and proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy meal periods Experience working with dietary guidelines such as JCAHO standards and food safety regulations Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and managing portion sizes Join us in creating a warm, nourishing environment where every meal is an opportunity to care.
