Position Summary The Certified Dietary Manager (Director of Dietary) oversees the dietary department to ensure residents receive nutritious, high-quality meals in a safe and sanitary environment. Responsibilities Direct day-to-day dietary operations including meal planning, preparation, and service. Develop and maintain menus that meet residents' nutritional needs and preferences. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate dietary staff. Manage dietary budgets, purchasing, and inventory. Collaborate with dietitians, nursing, and other departments on care plans. Maintain accurate dietary records and documentation. Perform other dietary management duties as assigned. Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required. Long-term care/skilled nursing dietary experience preferred. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and nutrition for elderly populations. Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
