Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Transports food and supplies from the Nutrition Services Main Production Area to patient service areas throughout the hospital. Participates in patient meal assembly and delivery of meals directly to patients as assigned, in a professional and efficient manner. Inventories and stocks unit-based pantries. Accurately maintains records of pantry stock items. Follows established procedures for cleaning, labeling, rotating, and documenting pantry stock items. Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans, both manually and using automated machine. Places clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in proper storage areas. Gathers trash from Nutrition Production area and places in designated pickup areas. Cleans garbage cans, sweeps floors, and performs both heavy and light cleaning of Nutrition Production equipment, food service production and retail cafeteria areas. Reports any safety hazards or equipment not functioning properly to Shift Supervisor. Assists in basic production duties, as well as cafeteria food serving and/or cleaning. Adheres to HACCP and ISDH sanitation standards. Participates in and promotes CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement) activities. Performs other duties as required. Clearly communicates and continuously supports the Mission and Values of Johnson Memorial Health. Conducts all activities in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and Johnson Memorial Health policies and procedures including Blood and Body Substance Precautions.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
Must be able to read and write. Less than high school education. No experience necessary. 90 day "on the job" training provided. Johnson Memorial Health is a nationally-recognized network of physicians, services and healthcare resources based in Johnson County, Indiana. The centerpiece is Johnson Memorial Hospital, located in Franklin Indiana, just 20 minutes south of Indianapolis. SCHEDULE
Varied Hours as needed, including every other Saturday and Sunday. PRN- No guaranteed hours.
