30 Hours Per Week Help for . TruCare Living Center is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Dietary Aide to support our dietary team in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. The Dietary Aide assists with meal service, food preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment while ensuring resident satisfaction and adherence to dietary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with tray line setup, meal assembly, and meal service
Deliver meals and snacks to residents in a timely and courteous manner
Ensure accuracy of meal trays according to diet orders and preferences
Assist residents with meal setup and provide feeding assistance as needed (per training)
Bus tables and clean dining areas after meals
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to sanitation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining, and storage areas
Follow proper food handling, safety, and infection control procedures
Stock supplies and assist with food storage, labeling, and rotation (FIFO)
Support the cook and dietary staff as needed during meal preparation
Respond promptly to resident requests and communicate needs to dietary or nursing staff
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred, but not required
Valid Texas Food Handler's Permit required or willingness to obtain
Ability to work assigned shift (2p-10p), including weekends and holidays
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
Good communication and customer service skills
Team-oriented, dependable, and positive attitude
