Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of our residents or patients. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming dining environment. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, portioning, and serving meals according to dietary guidelines and specific dietary requirements Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas following food safety standards and JCAHO regulations Support food production activities, including meal assembly, bussing tables, and cleaning dishes and kitchen equipment Adhere to proper manual handling techniques and safe lifting practices when moving supplies or heavy items Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks Work collaboratively with culinary staff and nursing teams to meet the nutritional needs of residents or patients Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of stock shortages or safety concerns Qualifications Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures including CPR certification is advantageous Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively Experience working with geriatric patients or individuals with special dietary needs is a plus Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion sizes Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Join our team as a Dietary Aide and become an essential part of providing compassionate care through nutritious meals!
