Must be able to obtain Food Handler's Permit by start date. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Kitchen Aide to join our dietary team! Our kitchen plays an important role in the care of our residents. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, keeps a clean and organized kitchen, works well with others, and can be counted on to show up on time and do the job right. What You'll Do
- Assist the cook with preparing meals for our residents
- Prepare sides, desserts, beverages, salads, and other food items
- Deliver meal carts and assist with meal service
- Ensure meals are delivered accurately and on time
- Follow resident diet orders and special diet requirements carefully
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, dishes, and kitchen surfaces
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen throughout the shift
- Stock and organize food and kitchen supplies
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and facility procedures
- Work as part of a team to keep meal service running smoothly
- Perform other kitchen and dietary duties as needed What We're Looking For
- Reliable and dependable attendance is essential
- Must be punctual and able to consistently work scheduled shifts
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Strong attention to detail
- Takes pride in cleanliness and organization
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Works well as part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
- Comfortable working around elderly residents
- Must be able to maintain high standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety
