Job Description
Southern Utah Veterans Home in Ivins, Utah is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dietary Aide to join our outstanding team! $15.50 - $17.00 /hour Job Summary The Dietary Aide at Southern Utah Veterans Home assists in the preparation and serving of meals to residents, ensuring a clean and sanitary dining environment. This role supports the dietary department by following established guidelines and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to prescribed menus and dietary restrictions. Set up dining areas and ensure cleanliness before, during, and after meal service. Deliver meals to residents in a timely and courteous manner. Assist residents with eating as needed, providing support and encouragement. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas following health and safety regulations. Stock and replenish food and supplies as directed. Report any resident concerns or dietary issues to supervisory staff. Follow all infection control and safety procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in food service or healthcare setting is a plus. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Willingness to adhere to all safety and sanitation standards. Work Environment This position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen and dining environment within a long-term care facility. The Dietary Aide will interact regularly with residents, staff, and visitors, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
