About us Our Lady of Peace is a nonprofit, nondenominational senior care community sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Richmond. Since 1992, Our Lady of Peace Retirement Community has provided comfortable and affordable senior living apartments and a full continuum of care for those who live within our community. Our assisted living services are customized for each resident to preserve their independence and allow everyone to live life to their fullest potential. Our memory care neighborhood provides specialized care and security for seniors who have been diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer's. Additional care is also available in our nursing center, where a qualified team provides around-the-clock attention to residents. Job Description:
Providing a high-quality dining experience begins with our dining team. Dietary Aides help to make sure our residents enjoy each and every meal - from the cleanliness of the dining room to the presentation of delicious food. The right person for this role will be ready to serve others with a smile and enjoy getting to know our residents' likes and dislikes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with meal preparation Prepare the dining room with the appropriate linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments Keep all spaces clean before and after meals Wait on tables cheerfully and efficiently Set up and deliver trays or boxed meals as directed Maintain high standards of sanitation, food handling, and food preparation and storage Operate equipment such as dishwashers, coffee maker, and beverage machines Other tasks as requested by supervisor
Qualifications:
Ability to lift 50 pounds Previous food service experience preferred
Skills:
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members. Ability to multi-task with attention to detail. Ability to follow established portions, menu plans, and special requests.
