Overview Join our vibrant dining team dedicated to providing exceptional culinary experiences in a senior living environment! As a Dining Team Member-Senior Living, you will play a vital role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals tailored to the unique dietary needs of our residents. This position offers an energetic and rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive setting where your skills in food preparation, service, and safety make a meaningful difference in residents' lives. We prioritize teamwork, safety, and quality service, ensuring every day is fulfilling and impactful. Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary requirements and nutritional standards for senior residents. Assist with food production, including cooking, plating, and portioning meals efficiently and accurately. Adhere to strict food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and JCAHO guidelines to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively while practicing proper manual handling and heavy lifting techniques. Support dietary department operations by bussing tables, cleaning and washing dishes, and maintaining sanitation throughout the dining area. Provide excellent customer service by attending to residents' needs with patience, respect, and professionalism. Follow all workplace safety procedures, including PPE use and safe lifting practices, to ensure a secure environment for staff and residents alike. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, sanitation, and serving techniques. Experience working with geriatric patients or in dietary departments is advantageous. Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. Basic math skills for portioning and inventory management. Excellent communication skills paired with a customer service-oriented mindset. Certifications such as CPR or food handling licenses are a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
