7am•1:30pm Culinary Aide Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Culinary Aide to join our dietary department. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and food production, ensuring that all food handling and safety standards are met. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while supporting the culinary team in delivering high-quality meals. Duties Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated to maintain freshness. Sanitate kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to uphold hygiene standards. Support the culinary team with food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients. Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in all aspects of food handling. Manage time effectively to ensure timely meal service while maintaining quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during peak service times. Participate in training sessions related to food safety and kitchen procedures as required. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or food industry setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during busy periods. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and cooking techniques. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail throughout the cooking process. Pay:
$15.60•$17.25 per hour
