Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nutritional guidance, develop personalized care plans, and support patients across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes through comprehensive nutritional assessments, medical nutrition therapy, and patient education. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in individuals' lives by promoting optimal health and managing chronic conditions with evidence-based strategies. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments, including nutritional analysis and diagnostic evaluation to identify individual dietary needs and health risks. Develop and implement personalized nutrition care plans tailored to each patient's medical condition, lifestyle, and dietary preferences. Provide nutrition counseling using motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavioral change and support weight loss, chronic disease management, or specific dietary needs. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on nutrition support options like tube feeding and other specialized dietary interventions while ensuring proper documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Supervise nutrition support staff when applicable, including overseeing dietetic assistants or interns with supervising experience. Stay current with advances in clinical nutrition, physiology knowledge, and medical nutrition therapy (MNT) practices to provide the highest quality care. Manage long-term care cases in geriatrics or hospital settings, ensuring adherence to care plans and adjusting strategies as needed for optimal outcomes. Qualifications Registered Dietitian in accordance with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Candidate has completed the Supervised Practice Program (SPP) for Registered Dietitian (RD), NOT
MORE THAN SIX
(6) MONTHS have passed since completion of SSP, candidate has not previously failed the examination, candidate must become a RD within six (6) months from completing SPP to comply with California Law (code section 2586 Bachelor's Degree with major in dietetics, foods, nutrition, or food service administration. Broad knowledge of modified nutrition in areas including but not limited to diabetic, renal, hepatic, TPN, pediatric and internal feedings. $29.17 - $48.23 per hour
