Job Description

Job Overview This is an on-site part-time contract role for a Dietitian located in Whittier, CA. The hours are flexible with bi-weekly appointments offered at the Health Center for students along with collaboration with other departments (Athletics, Poet Pantry, etc.) for a minimum of 8-12 hours/month. Job is ideal for someone looking for flexible part-time hours where they can create their own programs and events during the academic year. The Dietitian will be responsible for providing nutritional counseling, developing personalized diet plans, conducting nutrition therapy, managing weight loss and health programs, and educating students on proper nutrition. The Dietitian will also evaluate and monitor the dietary needs of individuals, ensuring a healthy campus environment. In addition, the dietitian will collaborate with other departments and their programs/events. Qualifications Skills in Dietetics and Nutritional Counseling Experience in Medical Nutrition Therapy and Weight Management Knowledge of general Nutrition principles Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse community Master's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field Registered Dietitian (RD) credential is preferred
Pay:
$35.00 - $50.00 per hour
