Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Assistant Dietary Manager, where you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of exceptional nutritional care within an assisted living environment. Responsibilities Assist in coordinating daily dietary department operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery Supervise dietary staff, providing guidance, training, and support to uphold standards of care and professionalism Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that include specific nutritional needs Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary requirements, including special diets such as tube feeding or modified textures Oversee meal preparation and presentation to ensure adherence to safety standards, nutritional guidelines, and resident preferences Manage inventory, monitor food costs, and assist with budgeting to optimize resource utilization Support diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and physiology to inform care strategies and improve health outcomes Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care settings with a focus on dietary management Knowledge of dietetics principles, nutrition science, physiology, and care planning processes Demonstrated supervising experience within a dietary or healthcare environment Familiarity with patient assessment techniques and specialized nutrition interventions such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation Strong management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and oversee departmental operations Experience in health coaching to promote healthy eating habits among residents Understanding of budgeting processes within a dietary department to ensure cost-effective service delivery Join us in creating a supportive environment where nutrition meets compassionate care! Pay:
$24.15 - $26.00 per hour
