Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our healthcare team either on a full-time or part-time basis. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including nutritional analysis and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual needs. Develop and implement tailored nutrition care plans that address specific dietary requirements, chronic disease management, weight loss, and other health objectives. Provide nutrition counseling using motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavior change and enhance patient engagement. Manage medical nutrition therapy (MNT), including tube feeding support, dietary modifications, and specialized nutrition support for complex cases. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes. Utilize electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) efficiently for documentation, progress notes, and care plan updates. Supervise dietetic interns or junior staff when applicable, providing mentorship in clinical nutrition practices and patient communication. Qualifications Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with current licensure or certification as required by state or local regulations. Proven experience in clinical nutrition, including acute care, geriatrics, long-term care, or hospital settings. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and dietary management of chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, or renal disease. Experience working with individuals with specific dietary needs and managing complex cases involving tube feeding or specialized nutrition support. Skilled in health coaching techniques such as motivational interviewing to foster positive lifestyle changes. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their nutritional plans. Supervisory experience is preferred to guide team members or interns in clinical practices. Knowledge of weight management strategies, dietary department operations, and long-term care environments is highly desirable.
