Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering personalized nutritional care, supporting patients with various dietary needs, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve health outcomes. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients across diverse clinical settings, including hospital, long-term care, and outpatient environments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to develop individualized nutrition care plans based on medical history, diagnostic evaluations, and specific dietary requirements. Provide expert nutrition counseling and education to patients, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to foster behavior change and promote healthy lifestyles. Manage nutrition support therapies such as tube feeding and other specialized interventions for patients with complex medical needs. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition therapy into overall treatment plans for chronic diseases, geriatrics, weight management, and acute care cases. Supervise and mentor junior staff or interns within the dietary department while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and documentation protocols in electronic health records (EHR) systems. Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up assessments and adjust care plans accordingly to optimize health outcomes. Maintain thorough documentation of all interventions in electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field; registration as a licensed or registered dietitian (RD or RDN) is required. Proven experience working in clinical nutrition settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, or outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and dietary management for chronic diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular conditions, and geriatrics. Experience with nutrition support techniques such as tube feeding and care plans for patients with specific dietary needs. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and client communication purposes. Demonstrated skills in health coaching, motivational interviewing, and client communication to promote sustainable lifestyle changes. Supervising experience preferred; ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams is essential. Familiarity with diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutritional assessment and nutritional analysis tools.
