Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Contract Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide expert nutritional guidance and support to diverse patient populations across various care settings. Your expertise will help improve health outcomes through personalized nutrition plans, clinical assessments, and collaborative care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working within a dynamic, supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical nutrition skills, experience with medical nutrition therapy, and a passion for empowering individuals toward healthier lifestyles. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs, medical history, and dietary restrictions. Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's health goals and medical conditions. Provide nutrition counseling and education using motivational interviewing techniques to motivate behavioral change. Manage complex nutrition support interventions, including occassional tube feeding and other specialized therapies. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate patient care. Document all interventions, assessments, and progress accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Stay current with advancements in clinical nutrition, physiology, and chronic disease management to ensure best practices are applied. Skills Proven experience in medical nutrition therapy (MNT) across acute care, long-term care, or hospital settings preferred but outpatient required. Strong knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and chronic disease management. Expertise in dietary assessment tools, nutritional analysis software, and EHR/EHR management systems. Skilled in conducting health coaching sessions that promote sustainable lifestyle changes. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and empathetically. Proficiency in managing special diets such as tube feeding protocols and dietary modifications for geriatrics or patients with specific needs. Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation processes related to nutritional deficiencies or metabolic disorders. Ability to perform patient assessments effectively in outpatient setting Familiarity with electronic documentation standards for chronic disease management and clinical nutrition documentation.
