Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in our nursing facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nutrition and dietetics, with experience in patient assessment, care plans, and managing dietary operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive optimal nutritional care tailored to their individual needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations. Supervise dietary staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure high standards of food service and safety. Oversee tube feeding protocols and ensure compliance with dietary guidelines. Conduct regular evaluations of the dietary department's performance, including budgeting and resource management. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate health coaching into residents' care plans. Maintain knowledge of physiology and nutrition to provide expert advice on dietary practices. Ensure that all food service operations comply with health regulations and quality standards. Participate in training programs for staff to enhance their skills in dietary management and patient care. Experience Proven experience in an healthcare setting, preferably in a supervisory role within a dietary department. Strong understanding of patient assessment techniques and the ability to create effective care plans. Familiarity with tube feeding procedures and diagnostic evaluation methods. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing teams effectively. Knowledge of budgeting processes related to food service operations is essential. A background in nutrition or dietetics is highly desirable.
