Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Clinical Registered Dietitian to serve the Kansas region. This vital role involves providing expert nutritional care, developing personalized care plans, and supporting patients with diverse dietary needs across various healthcare settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in clinical nutrition, chronic disease management, and medical nutrition therapy (MNT), with a strong emphasis on patient assessment and nutritional analysis. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes through evidence-based nutritional interventions. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including diagnostic evaluation and nutritional analysis, to determine individualized care needs. Develop and implement tailored nutrition care plans that address specific health conditions such as diabetes, geriatrics, or weight management. Provide nutrition counseling and health coaching to motivate patients towards healthier lifestyle choices and long-term wellness goals. Manage clinical nutrition support, including tube feeding and other specialized dietary interventions, ensuring proper implementation and monitoring. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to coordinate patient care strategies. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation, progress tracking, and communication within the care team. Supervise dietetic interns or junior staff members, offering guidance on best practices in clinical nutrition and dietetics. Stay current with advances in physiology knowledge, chronic disease management techniques, and medical nutrition therapy (MNT) protocols to enhance patient care quality. Qualifications Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from an accredited program is required. Proven experience working in clinical settings such as hospitals or long-term care facilities with a focus on acute care and geriatrics. Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition support techniques (including tube feeding), and dietary management of chronic diseases. Demonstrated proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation and client communication. Supervising experience in a healthcare environment is preferred, along with skills in team leadership and training. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction, education, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Experience working with individuals who have specific dietary needs or medical conditions requiring specialized nutritional strategies. Familiarity with dietary department operations, hospital protocols, and long-term care regulations is advantageous.
