Weekly About the Role ShareSTAFF is hiring a Dietitian for a contract assignment at an Acute Inpatient Hospital in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. ShareSTAFF is seeking a Registered Dietitian for an inpatient contract assignment in central Kentucky, covering a unit-based caseload of 10-15 patients per day with a target of roughly 70% direct patient care. This is a day-shift role with one weekend of on-site coverage required per month (starting after the first 30 days) and Sunday on-call for tube feed/TPN management, handled remotely within a 6:30 AM-9:00 PM window. The dietitian works independently — there are no Diet Techs or a CNM on-site — so strong acute-care judgment and the ability to self-manage a full caseload are essential. • earn extra when you refer a fellow healthcare professional Dedicated recruiter support before, during, and after your assignment Extension opportunities and access to new assignments nationwide What You'll Do Provide medical nutrition therapy to an inpatient, unit-based caseload of 10-15 patients/day Perform and document nutrition assessments Identify patients requiring Medical Nutrition Therapy Write, approve, and modify therapeutic nutrition, dietary supplement, and nutritional supplement orders Monitor and evaluate patient tolerance to therapeutic diets Develop and provide nutrition education/counseling to patients, families, and caretakers Collaborate with medical staff, nursing, pharmacy, and social work to meet patients' nutritional needs Manage Sunday on-call tube feed/TPN coverage remotely within the 6:30 AM-9:00 PM window Work one on-site weekend per month after the first 30 days Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs in a timely, accurate manner Operate independently toward the facility's ~70% direct-patient-care productivity target, with no on-site Diet Tech or CNM support What You Bring•Required Active Kentucky Dietitian license — required to submit (pending license accepted only if finalized before the start date This is a hard gate per the client) Current registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or registry-eligible Current BLS certification Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related Nutrition field from an ACEND•or AND-accredited program (Master's degree required if the candidate graduated after January 2024) Inpatient/acute-care hospital dietitian experience is non-negotiable — outpatient-only backgrounds will not succeed in this role and should not be submitted Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight — no on-site Diet Tech or CNM backup Comfortable independently managing a 10-15 patient/day unit-based caseload What You Bring•Preferred At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Dietitian (per client JD No experience is technically required, but acute-care independence still is) Team-oriented — willing to pitch in beyond assigned caseload Prior experience managing tube feeding/TPN orders, relevant to the remote Sunday on-call duty First-time travelers welcome, provided their inpatient experience is strong About ShareSTAFF ShareSTAFF connects nursing and allied health professionals with travel and contract assignments at hospitals, state facilities, and healthcare organizations nationwide.
