Job Description

Clinical Dietitian Department:
Clinical Dietetics Description:
Rockcastle Regional is seeking a full-time Clinical Dietitian. The Clinical Dietitian manages the clinical care of assigned patient groups, completes assessment of nutritional status and needs, as well as provides medical nutrition therapy with effective motivational interviewing skills. They are responsible for the development and maintenance of an area of expertise while communicating to the physician and other members of the healthcare team information related to current scientific nutrition knowledge and practice as well as acting as a nutrition resource and educator to the medical staff, administration, employees, students, patients, and the community. The Clinical Dietitian participates in multidisciplinary teams and provides services compliant with regulatory and accrediting agencies. They practice in compliance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Code of Ethics and participate in continuing education activities. Must possess effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as technical knowledge in clinical nutrition and education. Fundamental computer skills required. Must possess the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations. Qualifications:
Current Kentucky Licensure with the Kentucky Board of Licensure for Dietitians and Nutritionists, as well as current Commission on Dietetic Registration required. Master's degree as required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (effective January 1, 2024) or Bachelor's degree grandfathered prior to this update in Nutrition or Dietetics required, with requirements completed to become a registered dietitian. One-year experience as a dietitian in a clinical setting preferred. APPLY NOW
