Role:
As a Dietician at Alden Court Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the health and well-being of our residents through tailored nutritional care. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the dietary needs of individuals and develop personalized meal plans that align with their health conditions and preferences. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that nutritional interventions are effectively integrated into the overall care plans. Additionally, you will educate residents and staff about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits, fostering a supportive environment for dietary compliance. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to improving the quality of life for our residents and promoting their overall health outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field. Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential. State licensure as required by local regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food service management. Certification in geriatric nutrition or a related specialty.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents to identify dietary needs and preferences. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized meal plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff to promote healthy eating habits. Evaluate and adjust meal plans based on residents' health status, preferences, and feedback. Stay updated on the latest nutrition research and best practices to ensure high-quality dietary care.

The required skills for this position include strong analytical abilities to assess dietary needs and develop effective meal plans tailored to individual health conditions. Excellent communication skills are essential for educating residents and staff about nutrition, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly and effectively.
