Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the dietary department in our assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition, dietetics, and management, along with experience in patient assessment and care planning. This role is crucial for ensuring that residents receive optimal nutrition tailored to their individual health needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and dietary needs. Supervise dietary staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards. Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess nutritional status and make recommendations for tube feeding when necessary. Manage the dietary department's budget, ensuring cost-effective meal planning and resource allocation. Provide health coaching to residents, educating them on nutrition and healthy eating habits. Maintain accurate records of dietary services and resident interactions. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for residents. Stay updated on the latest trends in dietetics, nutrition, and physiology to enhance service delivery. Requirements Certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent qualification is required. Experience in assisted living or similar healthcare settings is preferred. Strong knowledge of nutrition, dietetics, and physiology. Proven management skills with experience supervising staff in a dietary department. Familiarity with budgeting processes related to food service operations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
