The Clinical Dietitian will evaluate patients' nutritional needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide medical nutrition therapy across multiple settings including long-term care, acute care, dialysis, and outpatient. This full-time role offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and the opportunity to impact patient health in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for patients in multiple care settings. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on diagnoses and needs. Provide inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease-management and healthy lifestyle practices. Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions as needed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and other professionals to optimize outcomes. Provide nutrition support and counseling for patients with chronic diseases and specialized dietary needs. Support dialysis, long-term care, acute care, swing bed, and outpatient populations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the medical record. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient wellness programs. Stay current on evidence-based nutrition guidelines and best practices. Serve as a nutrition resource for staff and community education efforts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited college or university. Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Licensed or eligible for dietitian licensure and registration in the State of Montana. Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient medical nutrition therapy principles, methods, and techniques. Strong understanding of nutrition assessment, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for educating individuals from diverse backgrounds. Valid driver's license. Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience providing clinical nutrition services in hospital, outpatient, dialysis, or long-term care settings. Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation systems.
