Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM; On-call every other weekend Why This Role Matters As a Registered Dietitian, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nutrition care to patients across a variety of clinical settings. Your expertise will help develop individualized nutrition plans, support disease management and recovery, and contribute to positive patient outcomes through collaborative, patient-centered care. What You'll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments utilizing the Nutrition Care Process (NCP)
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and adjust individualized nutrition care plans
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for acute and chronic health conditions
  • Deliver nutrition counseling and education to patients and caregivers
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
  • Document nutrition interventions and patient progress within the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Serve as a nutrition resource for patients, healthcare teams, and foodservice staff
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Provide care for specialized populations, including patients requiring tube feeding, TPN, hemodialysis care, and ventilator support What We're Looking For
  • A current, up-to-date resume
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Current North Carolina dietitian licensure required
  • Completion of an ACEND-accredited dietetic internship
  • Clinical nutrition experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience providing nutrition counseling and patient education preferred
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards
  • Knowledge of medical nutrition therapy, nutrition support, and evidence-based nutrition practices
  • Strong communication, organization, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
