Overview We are seeking a Dietician/Director of Nutrition Services to lead our comprehensive clinical nutrition and food service programs within a healthcare environment. This position is responsible for all aspects of clinical dietetics/nutrition care in an acute hospital setting as well as managing a hospital food service department and cafeteria. Duties Conduct comprehensive in-patient nutrition assessments while developing individualized nutrition care plans based on patient's medical conditition, nutritional needs, preferences and goals. Communicate nutrition recommendations effectively with health care team, verbally and through the utilization of electronic health records. Provide outpatient nutrition education specifically focusing on diabetes and weight loss management. Implement health coaching strategies to educate patients on nutrition best practices tailored to their specific needs. Provide support to employee and community-based health and wellness programs. Lead and manage the dietary department, including supervision of dietary assistants and cooks while supporting staff to ensure high-quality service delivery. Coordinate menu planning and modifications based on patient needs, preferences and regulatory requirements. Oversee purchasing inventory control and department budget. Ensure strict compliance with health regulation policies and food safety management standards across all food production and service areas.

Experience:

Requires a BS or MS in Nutrition and Dietetics. Clinical dietetics experience in a hospital, long-term care, rehabilitation, or similar health care setting desirable. Strong background/knowledge in diabetes education and weight loss management. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on team management, clinical documentation, and nutrition education. Familiarity with food production processes, dietary department operations, and managing food service health code compliance, while emphasizing strong leadership skills.
