May work in a community setting or non-profit, governmental, or public health organization, offering nutritional advice to specific groups of people.

Responsibilities:
At Functional Nutrition Rx, our Registered Dietitians go beyond conventional care—applying root-cause principles and a personalized approach to support each client's journey. As part of our team, your key responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive functional nutrition assessments to evaluate clinical, lifestyle, and dietary factors Developing individualized, root-cause-informed nutrition care plans , including therapeutic diets, lifestyle strategies, and supplement protocols Providing nutrition counseling and education on topics such as inflammation, blood sugar balance, GI health, hormone regulation, and detoxification Monitoring client progress and adjusting plans based on lab results, symptoms, and goals Collaborating with referring providers and integrative healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care Staying current with evidence-based research in functional and integrative nutrition Offering guidance for specialized nutrition protocols when needed (e.g., elimination diets, tube feeding, SIBO protocols, etc.)
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field ( Master's degree preferred ) Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) State licensure (CDN or equivalent, as required by your state) will be required within 3 months of hire Experience or strong interest in functional, integrative, or root-cause nutrition Proficiency in interpreting lab data, symptoms, and functional testing to inform care plans Excellent communication, counseling, and documentation skills Comfortable working independently in person private practice environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Bonus:
