Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager to lead and oversee the dietary operations within a healthcare or assisted living environment. In this vital role, you will ensure the delivery of nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to residents' needs while maintaining compliance with health regulations and budgetary guidelines. Your leadership will foster a positive dining experience, promote health and wellness, and support the overall quality of life for residents. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive care plans that incorporate nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and individual preferences for residents or patients Supervise and coordinate the dietary department staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate nutritional interventions and monitor progress through diagnostic evaluations and ongoing care adjustments Manage food service operations, including menu planning, budgeting, inventory control, and ensuring compliance with safety standards Oversee specialized feeding techniques such as tube feeding and assist with patient education on nutrition and health coaching strategies Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, dietary records, and incident reports while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements Collaborate with healthcare teams to evaluate patient conditions related to physiology and nutrition, adjusting care strategies accordingly Requirements Valid certification as a Dietary Manager or equivalent credential from an accredited organization Proven experience in dietary management within assisted living or healthcare settings Strong knowledge of physiology, nutrition science, dietetics principles, and care plan development Supervisory experience leading dietary staff or management teams in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with patient assessment techniques, tube feeding procedures, and diagnostic evaluation processes Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment Competence in budgeting, resource management, and maintaining compliance with health regulations related to food service operations Join us in delivering exceptional nutritional care that enhances the well-being of those we serve!
