Metz Culinary Management is hiring a dietitian to provide clinical coverage for Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. Enjoy a work/life balance, Mon-Fri daylight with flexibility. This position will focus in long-term care/SNF coverage and support the acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital one day per week. Schedule can be flexible to meet candidate needs, with primary daytime hours M-F. The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of various EMRs, menu planning, nutrient analysis, MDS and regulatory requirements. Overview We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing personalized nutrition care plans, providing expert guidance on dietary management, and supporting patients across various settings. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about promoting health and wellness, possesses strong clinical skills, and has experience working with diverse patient populations, including those in long-term care and acute hospital environments. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate nutritional needs and develop tailored care plans. Provide expert advice on nutrition therapy, including tube feeding management and dietary modifications for various medical conditions. Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutrition strategies into overall patient care, especially in acute care, geriatrics, and long-term care settings. Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition interventions accordingly, ensuring optimal health outcomes. Educate patients and their families on proper nutrition practices, weight management, and lifestyle changes through health coaching techniques. Supervise and mentor junior staff or dietetic interns within the dietary department to ensure quality standards are maintained. Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes accurately. Qualifications Registered Dietitian certification with current licensure or registration as required by local regulations. Proven experience in hospital settings, long-term care facilities, or dietary departments, with a focus on geriatrics and acute care. Strong knowledge of physiology related to digestion, metabolism, and disease processes affecting nutrition. Experience managing tube feeding protocols and diagnostic evaluation of nutritional status. Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation standards in healthcare environments. Skills in health coaching to motivate lifestyle changes related to weight loss or chronic disease management. Supervising experience or leadership roles within dietetic teams are highly valued.
