Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Dietitian, you will provide expert guidance on nutrition support, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and develop tailored care plans to meet diverse patient needs. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate nutritional status and identify dietary needs. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that align with medical diagnoses and treatment goals. Provide evidence-based nutrition counseling and education to patients with chronic diseases, geriatrics, weight management, and specific dietary requirements. Manage nutrition support interventions such as tube feeding and parenteral nutrition in collaboration with medical teams. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes accurately. Apply motivational interviewing techniques to encourage behavioral change and enhance patient adherence to nutritional recommendations. Supervise dietetic interns or junior staff members while ensuring compliance with clinical standards and protocols. Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes. Requirements Current registration as a Registered Dietitian (RD) or Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in the relevant jurisdiction. Proven experience in clinical nutrition within hospital or long-term care environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and diagnostic evaluation processes. Demonstrated expertise in managing tube feeding, nutritional analysis, and developing care plans for complex cases. Experience working with individuals who have specific dietary needs related to chronic illnesses or geriatrics. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Excellent client communication skills combined with the ability to educate patients effectively. Supervising experience in a healthcare setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with acute care practices, weight loss programs, and dietary department operations is advantageous.
