- The Role at a glance:
- We are looking to add an experienced
- Part-Time Registered Dietitian
- to our Cura Hospitality team in
- Punxsutawney, PA
- . As a Registered Dietitian with Cura Hospitality, you will have the opportunity to identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned patients/residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals nutritional status, and enhance quality of life consistent with patient's/resident's goals.
- This is a clinical position that will work with Inpatient & Outpatient care.
- What you'll be doing:
- + Provide Nutrition Assessments for admissions, quarterly assessments, annual assessments, tube feedings, weight changes +/-4% in 1 month, wounds, and for significant change assessments (such as a hospice admission or a significant improvement in ADLs) + Nutrition education as needed and requested by residents + Creation and quarterly updates on care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks to tailor to resident food preferences + Completion of MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs + Use of the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents who meet criteria for malnutrition according to ASPEN Malnutrition Criteria + Care conference meetings with families to update them on changes with the resident + Collaboration with interdisciplinary team to provide resident-centered care during weekly clinical meetings + QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings each quarter + Monthly Kitchen Inspections and Meal Service Audits •What we're looking for:•
Must-haves:
+- Bachelor's degree in nutrition (Prior to 2024) or related field
- + •Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
- + Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
Nice-to-haves:
+- Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
- + Experience working in healthcare or long-term care.
