About Us Nutrition Studio is a private group nutrition practice located in Portland Oregon that provides compassionate nutrition counseling to a wide variety of clients. We serve folks in person in Portland Oregon, and provide telehealth in Oregon and Washington. Our model is based on providing individualized and evidence based nutrition guidance to all people, as well as making support easy to access. We are looking for an equally compassionate and skilled Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our growing team! We are looking for a dietitian who specializes in eating disorders but who can also treat other common health conditions, such as diabetes and IBS. Our values include being HAES aligned, weight inclusive, and very person centered and collaborative. We truly meet our clients where they are, and provide a space where they can be vulnerable in asking for help to manage their eating disorders and complex health conditions. Our team consists of a wide variety of dietitians with different interests and qualifications. Along with outpatient eating disorder care, we provide functional and integrative nutrition counseling, movement coaching, and more. Position Details Part time at first, with the opportunity to work full time once your case load is full. Expect a maximum of 30-40 work hours per week within 2-3 months Competitive hourly pay based on client facing hours + paid admin time (emails, networking, meetings, charting, etc) Flexible hours; must be willing to work until 6 pm at least 3 days per week See clients in person from one of our shared offices in inner NE Portland or Central SE Portland 1-2 days per week, must have a private, quiet and HIPAA compliant space to work from home Work collaboratively with business owner and colleagues and have weekly mentoring meetings as necessary, as well as monthly team meetings Job Responsibilities Provide highly individualized nutrition counseling Screen for disordered eating and eating disorders; refer to outside providers and coordinate care as needed Able to comfortably work within family systems if supporting children and teens with eating disorders Assess, diagnose, create interventions, monitor and evaluate the needs of your clients Create recipe collections and meal plans, considering the clients unique preferences, relationship to food, access to food and cooking, food culture, and food allergies or sensitivities Determine frequency of visits with clients, be able to document progress, make clinical decisions and adjust as needed Provide easy to digest, relatable nutrition education in a way that is evidence based and also meets the client where they are Work collaboratively with clinic owner and colleagues, including but not limited to case consults, weekly or monthly meetings, etc Maintain timely and meticulous records, finishing chart notes by the end of the work day or the following morning Use practice management software (Kalix), Google Drive, and other work enhancing platforms such as Nourishly Engage in networking opportunities and represent Nutrition Studio within our professional referral community Stay up to date with nutrition science and best practices Be open to feedback and guidance from clinic owner when appropriate Must be confident with using the Nutrition Care Process and Medical Nutrition Therapy Ability to implement various eating disorder treatment approaches including but not limited to FBT, CBT, ERP, DBT, meal planning, exchanges, etc Required Qualifications Must live in the Portland or Vancouver Metro Area and be willing to commute to an office at least 1-2 days per week Open to a fully virtual position for the right fit, but must live in the Pacific Northwest Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition Science or other similar degree Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) from the Commission for Registered Dietitians and in good standing Licensed in Oregon State Licensed in Washington state or willing to become licensed Weight inclusive, HAES aligned, and gender-affirming provider Able to work with adult clients over the age of 18, as well as teenagers between ages 13-17 years old and their families Provide highly individualized nutrition support to folks who are not well resourced and don't have predictable access to food Conditions you may be responsible for helping your clients with outside of eating disorders include but are not limited to: type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, IBS, PMOS, menopause, GLP-1 nutrition, POTS, EDS, MCAS. Ideal Qualifications Master's Degree in Nutrition Science or other similar degree Certified Dietitian in Washington State Willing to do educational grocery store tours Ability to interpret labs, recommend supplements or adjunct therapies, and implement nutrition interventions for multiple complex health related co-morbidities.
