This role oversees nutrition assessments, individualized care plans, therapeutic diets, regulatory compliance, dietary staff, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Key Duties Lead clinical nutrition and therapeutic diet programs. Conduct nutrition assessments and develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans. Monitor weight trends, labs, food intake, hydration, and nutrition-related risks. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, SLPs, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams. Provide nutrition counseling and education to residents, families, and staff. Review and evaluate menus for nutritional adequacy, resident satisfaction, physician orders, and regulatory compliance. Support food service operations, sanitation, meal quality, and food safety. Ensure compliance with CMS, state, accreditation, and long-term care requirements . Supervise, train, mentor, and evaluate dietary staff. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and nutrition reports. Participate in quality improvement, care conferences, and emergency preparedness activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food & Nutrition , or related field. Completion of an accredited dietetic internship/supervised practice program. RDN registration or eligibility to obtain it within the required timeframe. Clinical nutrition experience in healthcare, long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, hospital, or institutional settings. Experience with nutrition care plans and therapeutic diets. Preferred Current RDN credential and Rhode Island licensure, if required. 3+ years of long-term care/skilled nursing experience . Supervisory or dietary management experience. Experience with CMS and long-term care surveys. CDM or related certification. #non
