Oakdale Bethea Senior Living Darlington SC Now seeking a talented Registered Dietitian to join our AMAZING nutrition team in a busy and fast-paced Senior Living setting. This is a part-time role (8/hrs) per week Job Summary We are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing expert nutritional care and guidance to patients across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical nutrition, experience with medical nutrition therapy, and excellent client communication skills. Your work will help improve health outcomes through personalized nutrition plans and collaborative care. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine nutritional needs and develop tailored care plans. Provide nutrition counseling and education to individuals with diverse dietary needs, including those with chronic diseases, geriatrics, or specific medical conditions. Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, nurses, and therapists to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes. Manage nutrition support interventions, including tube feeding and other specialized nutritional therapies. Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes accurately. Perform diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition status and interpret laboratory results for informed decision-making. Offer health coaching sessions focused on weight management, lifestyle changes, and chronic disease management. Skills Proven experience working with individuals requiring medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and specialized dietary interventions. Strong knowledge of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health conditions. Supervising experience in dietary or clinical settings is highly desirable. Expertise in nutrition counseling techniques such as motivational interviewing to motivate behavioral change. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and patient record management. Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's unique needs. Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient education. Experience working in hospital or long-term care environments, especially with geriatrics or acute care populations.
