Dietetics Registered Dietitian Full Job Description SUMMARY:
Operating from a holistic perspective, the full-time Functional Medicine Nutritionist (FMN) will counsel patients utilizing lifestyle interventions & targeted vitamin supplementation. The FMN will look beyond surface-level symptoms to address the root causes of chronic illness for patients. They will design and implement personalized therapeutic nutrition plans, approved by the Medical Director & Head Nutritionist, to guide patients toward optimal wellness throughout their health journeys.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct comprehensive health assessments, detailing patient goals, medical history & lifestyle. Collaborate w/ Medical Providers to order & interpret labs for various chronic illnesses. Provide personalized, food-as-medicine nutrition protocols, lifestyle changes, & targeted supplement plans for patients. Provide life coaching to support behavior modification, stress management, & sleep hygiene. Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team of medical providers to ensure cohesive patient care. Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR) platform. Develop evidence based educational materials, recipes, meal plans, & grocery shopping guides to empower patients & improve protocol compliance. Participate in developing educational tools & resources in collaboration with the Medical Director & Director of Business. Provide patient care through in-person visits at both clinic locations & via telemedicine, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a closely related scientific field.
Credentials:
Current, active credential as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) or Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS).
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of strong patient relationship building and high patient retention.
Philosophy:
Alignment with functional medicine principles and a passion for root-cause, holistic patient care.

TFWC is offering the opportunity to be part of a growing practice that supports a well-seasoned Family Physician that has been practicing for 20+ years in the North Corpus Christi/Calallen area & mostly serves patients in the surrounding rural communities. The TFWC's philosophy of medicine is to improve the lifestyle of the patient, not just manage their illnesses. Monday•Saturday, 8am•5pm
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Annual Salary:
$56,800.00 (increase in base starting rate will be determined by years of experience and knowledge of desired skills)
