Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate dietary interventions and monitor ongoing health status related to nutrition. Manage the dietary department's budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and residents' individual care plans. Collaborate with healthcare teams to evaluate residents' physiological responses to diet plans and adjust as necessary for optimal health outcomes. Educate staff on nutrition principles, physiology, and health coaching techniques to support residents' holistic wellness. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, dietary records, and incident reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Experience Proven management experience in a dietary or food service setting within assisted living or long-term care facilities. Extensive knowledge of dietetics, physiology, nutrition science, and the development of care plans tailored to diverse resident needs. Supervising experience with teams responsible for patient or resident care in healthcare or hospitality environments. Familiarity with assisted living regulations, health coaching practices, and tube feeding procedures. Demonstrated ability to perform patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations related to nutrition and health status. Strong organizational skills in budgeting, inventory management, and compliance documentation. Prior experience in dietary department operations combined with leadership capabilities that inspire teamwork and excellence.
