The director ensures patient and customer satisfaction and maintains cost effective management. The Dietary Services Director will be responsible for nurturing strong interdepartmental relations in order to integrate the Dietary Department within the hospital's daily operations. He/she is also responsible for maintaining an organized and sanitary environment, monitoring supply inventory, and purchasing of food and supplies as required, ensuring proper storage of food and supplies, and managing an effective Dietary Services staff. In addition, the Dietary Services Director will directly oversee the hospital's clinical nutrition program. This includes management and staffing of Registered Dietitian(s), ensuring regulatory compliance of nutritional assessments and records, and maintaining standards of care in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Education:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics from an accredited college or university. Master's degree preferred.
Experience :
Requires a minimum of three (3) years dietary experience in a health care facility, with concentration in nutrition assessment and planning.
Licensure:
Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian in WA Required.
