We believe nutrition plays a vital role in overall health and recovery, and we are seeking a Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team in ensuring our residents receive optimal nutritional support.
Position Summary:
The Registered Dietitian (RD) is responsible for overseeing the nutritional needs of residents, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations. This role involves assessing residents' dietary needs, developing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote residents' health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
Service multiple buildings Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for all residents upon admission and as needed. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans. Provide ongoing evaluation of residents' dietary needs and make adjustments as necessary. Collaborate with nursing, therapy, medical staff, and food service to ensure dietary needs are met. Ensure menus meet nutritional guidelines, regulatory requirements, and residents' preferences. Monitor residents with weight changes, swallowing difficulties, or other nutritional concerns. Provide education and guidance to residents, families, and staff regarding dietary needs and nutrition. Participate in care plan meetings and quality assurance activities. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards. Stay current on nutrition trends, clinical guidelines, and best practices in long-term care.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field. Current Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required. Licensure in the state of Arizona (if applicable). Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care setting preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (CMS, state survey, etc.). Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Compassionate and resident-focused approach.
