We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the nursing team at our dual-diagnosis inpatient behavioral health treatment center. The ideal candidate will have prior Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) experience in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment setting. This leader will oversee nursing operations, ensure regulatory compliance, support quality patient care, and foster a collaborative, patient-centered culture. Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing operations and clinical staff. Ensure compliance with state, federal, Joint Commission, and organizational standards. Recruit, mentor, schedule, and evaluate nursing team members. Collaborate with medical providers, clinical leadership, and operations to ensure high-quality patient care. Oversee medication management, documentation, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives. Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and departmental performance. Promote a safe, therapeutic environment for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Qualifications Active RN license in the applicable state. Previous DON or ADON experience in a behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse treatment setting is required. Strong knowledge of inpatient behavioral health nursing operations and regulatory requirements. Proven leadership, team-building, and communication skills. Experience with accreditation standards (Joint Commission/CARF) is preferred.

Pay:

$120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
