Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and compassionate Director of Nursing (DON) to lead and oversee all nursing operations at our skilled nursing and post-acute facility. The DON will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care, clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and staff development.Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership and direction to the nursing department. Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive patient care programs. Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction. Manage departmental budget, resources, and staffing levels efficiently. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless interdisciplinary care.Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, with at least 2 years as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting. Thorough knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care and post-acute services. Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse nursing team. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Benefits:
