Saint John Paul II Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS/ ADON) to join our team at Saint John Paul II in Danbury, Connecticut. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, overseeing nursing services, and promoting a positive work environment. The Assistant Director of Nursing Services is a critical position that requires a strong leader who can coordinate and direct nursing services to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Nursing in coordinating all nursing services, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting Serve as liaison between the Director of Nursing and other facility departments Ensure compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures Conduct regular rounds to monitor quality of care and identify areas for improvement Evaluate performance of nursing staff and provide coaching and mentoring as needed Develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of care Participate in facility-wide committees and meetings as necessary Document disciplinary actions for nursing assistants on designated shifts
Expectations:
Work with minimum of supervision Discuss any problems, needs, or concerns with the Director of Nursing Attend in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs as directed
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a nursing leadership role Certificate in a relevant field (such as Nursing Administration or Healthcare Administration) Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
