Assistant Director of Nursing Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team at Lord Chamberlain Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Stratford, Connecticut. As a vital member of our leadership team, the Assistant Director of Nursing will play a key role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, ensuring that patient care is delivered in accordance with established standards and policies Collaborates with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement nursing programs and policies Conducts regular rounds to assess the quality of patient care and identifies areas for improvement Provides guidance and support to licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other nursing staff Develops and maintains positive relationships with patients, families, and staff Participates in quality improvement initiatives and contributes to the development of quality metrics Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all HIPAA regulations Assists with budgeting and financial planning for the nursing department
Requirements:
A associates/bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar leadership role Proven track record of improving patient outcomes and increasing staff satisfaction Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
