ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING
Join our team at Polaris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, a beautiful 100-bed facility located in the Milford Wellness Village, as we strive to be an employer of choice in the greater Milford Community. We are seeking an experienced
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING
to join our dynamic team.
Position Summary:
As an Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of nursing care and services provided to our residents. You will work closely with our Director of Nursing to ensure that quality care is provided to our residents consistent with company and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Screens prospective admissions for level of care and anticipated needs required by federal regulations Responsible for making daily rounds on unit to supervise, observe, examine, interview residents, evaluate staffing needs, and monitor regulatory compliance Utilizes resources in an efficient and economic manner to ensure that each resident achieves the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being Assists Director of Nursing with preparation for Department of Health Survey Implements nursing policies and procedures that reflect facility mission and philosophy Performs the duties of the DON during the Director's absence from the facility Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse Three to five (3-5) years of management or supervisory experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative or geriatric nursing preferred Knowledge of Point Click Care software program a plus
