Establish and continually elevate standards for client well-being, safety, caregiver competency, dementia care, changes in condition, infection prevention, emergency situations, and quality. Help ensure each client's service plan reflects individual needs, capabilities, routines, risks, preferences, family circumstances, and goals. Ensure meaningful changes observed by caregivers are documented, communicated, and escalated appropriately, and help families recognize when needs require evaluation or services beyond our authorized scope. Assess caregiver competency and participate in orientation, skills validation, continuing education, coaching, retraining, and performance improvement. Build practical capability in dementia care, recognizing changes in condition, fall prevention, mobility and transfer safety, infection prevention, nutrition and hydration, emergency preparedness, communication, professional boundaries, client dignity, and documentation. Our goal is not simply to tell caregivers what to do. It is to help them understand why it matters, develop better judgment, and become increasingly confident and capable. Quality, Safety & Dementia Leadership Lead the clinical component of our quality and continuous-improvement efforts. Review incidents, falls, hospitalizations, complaints, caregiver concerns, and other meaningful events to identify patterns and opportunities to improve. Turn mistakes, near misses, questions, feedback, and exceptional outcomes into organizational learning. Southwest Florida • Director of Nursing Client, Family & Community Partnership Be a calm, credible, and compassionate resource to clients and families, especially when circumstances are complex or changing. Develop trusted relationships with physicians, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, senior-living and memory-care communities, home-health agencies, hospice organizations, therapists, geriatric care managers, and other professionals serving older adults. Represent Touching Hearts as a knowledgeable, collaborative, ethical, and highly credible member of the Southwest Florida healthcare community. Compliance & Organizational Leadership Partner with the Administrator and leadership team to maintain appropriate regulatory and documentation standards and help establish policies relating to client care, caregiver competency, safety, quality, and clinical oversight. This role extends well beyond compliance. You will have a voice in strategic decisions involving caregivers, training, staffing, quality, risk, new services, community partnerships, and growth. You will help build systems capable of supporting hundreds - and eventually thousands - of clients without allowing scale to diminish the deeply personal nature of our work.

THE LEADER WE ARE SEEKING

You are a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in Florida or holding an appropriate active multistate nursing license. BSN preferred.  Five or more years of professional nursing experience, including meaningful leadership, supervisory, clinical-management, or staff- development responsibility.  Experience serving older adults, preferably in home care, home health, private-duty care, hospice, senior living, memory care, geriatrics, rehabilitation, or a related environment.  Strong understanding of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and cognitive impairment.  Demonstrated ability to train, coach, inspire, and develop caregivers or clinical staff.  Familiarity with Florida home-care regulations and AHCA expectations.  Strong judgment, communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.  An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine excitement about building an organization rather than simply inheriting one.
