TriSource Staffing is partnering with an established rehabilitation organization to identify an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) for a leadership opportunity serving clients throughout the Atlanta, Georgia area. This is a hybrid, direct-hire position offering the opportunity to provide clinical leadership while working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. The DON will provide medical oversight, nursing guidance, staff mentorship, and clinical support to clients and their care teams. The position is primarily remote/hybrid within the Atlanta area, with at least one visit per month to the organization's main office in Smyrna, GA. The role also includes participation in a shared weekend on-call rotation with other nurses. The on-call schedule is generally light and shared among the nursing team. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical leadership, medical oversight, consultation, and support to ensure client medical needs are addressed appropriately and timely. Complete routine and acute client assessments and monitor overall health and medical stability. Develop, coordinate, and revise nursing care plans based on client needs and clinical findings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and achieve treatment goals. Provide clinical guidance and support to nurses, LPNs, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff while promoting a culture of quality care and professional development. Serve as an educational resource for clients, families, staff, and healthcare providers. Participate in staff orientation, training, and ongoing education related to healthcare and clinical protocols. Teach and certify staff through Certified Medication Assistance classes. Act as a preceptor and mentor for nurses and other healthcare providers. Provide guidance regarding emergency procedures, on-call protocols, and urgent medical concerns. Participate in a rotating weekend on-call schedule and provide clinical guidance and emergency oversight as needed. Assist with admissions and discharge planning, including recommending appropriate services and educating caregivers. Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical documentation, progress notes, and changes to client records. Conduct routine clinical record audits to ensure compliance with professional standards, licensure requirements, and applicable state regulations. Maintain knowledge of homecare regulations and state licensing requirements. Provide support and guidance to clinical staff regarding patient care and operational concerns. Travel throughout the service area as needed, with travel generally comprising up to approximately 20% of the role. Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Bachelor's degree required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an advanced practice or clinical leadership role. Previous experience working with individuals with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, or other chronic/catastrophic illnesses or injuries is strongly preferred. Experience with homecare regulations and state licensing requirements. Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record. Strong clinical judgment, assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, healthcare providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
