About the Position Ohana Endoscopy Center, a physician-owned ambulatory endoscopy center in West Oʻahu, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our Director of Nursing. This is a clinically focused leadership position with primary responsibility for nursing administration, clinical staff supervision and day-to-day clinical operations. The Director of Nursing will also provide direct patient care as needed to support the clinical team and patient flow. We are looking for an organized, collaborative nursing leader who is committed to patient safety, staff development and operational excellence. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of care while supporting the center's continued growth, including our planned expansion to a second procedure room. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise and support our RNs and GI technicians. Develop and coordinate clinical staffing schedules, assignments and coverage. Assist with coordinating and scheduling independent anesthesia providers to ensure appropriate coverage for scheduled procedures. Oversee clinical staff orientation, training, competency assessments and performance evaluations. Oversee nursing policies, clinical quality improvement and patient safety initiatives in collaboration with the Medical Director. Oversee infection prevention, endoscope reprocessing and high-level disinfection practices. Coordinate clinical supplies, equipment readiness and emergency preparedness. Support Joint Commission accreditation, regulatory compliance and ongoing survey readiness. Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care as needed to support clinical operations. Collaborate with the Administrator and Medical Director to maintain safe, efficient patient care. Help plan and develop clinical operations for the center's expansion to a second procedure room. Qualifications Required Current, unrestricted Hawaiʻi Registered Nurse license. Experience in procedural, perioperative, endoscopy, PACU or a comparable nursing setting. Demonstrated clinical leadership or supervisory experience. Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to supervise, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary clinical team. Willingness to provide direct patient care when needed. Preferred Previous Director of Nursing, nurse manager or charge nurse experience. Ambulatory surgery center or GI endoscopy experience. Experience with clinical quality improvement, accreditation and regulatory compliance. Knowledge of infection prevention, endoscope reprocessing and high-level disinfection. Experience coordinating clinical staffing and procedural operations. Schedule and Reporting Full-time, primarily Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday coverage based on operational needs. Primarily focused on clinical leadership and administrative responsibilities, with direct patient care as needed. Reports to the Administrator and works closely with the Medical Director. Responsible for nursing and clinical operations, including oversight of RNs and GI technicians. Front-office supervision, patient scheduling and broader business administration are managed separately.
Pay:
$140,000.00 - $156,000.00 per year
