Job Description
Grand Lifestyles is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Regional Director of Wellness for our South Region Supportive Living communities, covering the City of Chicago and the south suburbs . This is a hands-on regional leadership position focused on supporting our community Directors of Nursing and wellness teams , strengthening clinical operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring our residents receive consistent, high-quality care. The Regional Director of Wellness will work closely with each community's Executive Director and Director of Nursing as a leadership partner , helping ensure the nursing department is successful operationally, clinically, and from a compliance standpoint. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing support to community Directors of Nursing and wellness staff. Partner closely with Executive Directors to strengthen the overall performance and success of each community's nursing department. Maintain a strong presence in the communities throughout Chicago and the south suburbs , providing hands-on support when needed. Monitor compliance with Illinois Supportive Living Program requirements , company policies, and applicable state and federal regulations. Assist communities in preparing for surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews and support the development and completion of plans of correction when necessary. Conduct routine clinical and compliance reviews to identify potential concerns before they become larger issues. Develop and provide ongoing training and education for Directors of Nursing, nurses, CNAs, and other wellness staff. Support new Director of Nursing onboarding and continued leadership development. Review nursing systems, documentation, resident assessments, service plans, medication management, incident reporting, and other key clinical processes. Help identify staffing, performance, training, and operational challenges within wellness departments and work with community leadership to develop solutions. Promote consistency and accountability across all South Region communities. Serve as a resource to Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing when addressing resident care concerns, changes in condition, family concerns, or other clinical matters. Support a culture focused on resident safety, quality care, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Previous leadership experience in senior living, supportive living, assisted living, skilled nursing, or a related healthcare environment. Multi-site or regional clinical leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, clinical documentation, resident care practices, and staff training. Ability to coach and develop nursing leaders while holding teams accountable to established standards. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable working collaboratively with Executive Directors and other operational leadership. Ability and willingness to travel regularly between communities throughout the City of Chicago and the south suburbs .
